Pastor Liz's Transition
Dear Cornerstone Family,
It's with a sad heart that I'm informing you that Pastor Liz will be transitioning from our staff effective April 14, 2024. This decision was incredibly difficult for her because she has a deep love for our church, the ROCK children, the parents, all the volunteers, and our staff. When we hired her, we knew that she came from a background and seminary that had a different view of how the Holy Spirit works in our lives, yet she expressed that she was 'open and didn't want to put God in a box'. She knew that we were a church that believed in the continuing work of the Holy Spirit but she didn't know how that belief is taught and lived out in the life and ministries of our church. Both Pastor Liz and our church leaders shared a mutual hope that we would be able to have enough common ground to make this work. Unfortunately, we both realize that the gap is too wide for her and our church leaders to stretch and try to close without compromising on our respective convictions.
We appreciate Pastor Liz's nearly two years of ministry to our Cornerstone family and pray for God's best for her and Daniil as they seek the Lord's direction in this next season.
