Love Over Rights
There are many things that Christians might have a different opinion on. It's important to live according to your convictions while not imposing your convictions on others. Each person will have to stand before the Lord and give an account of how we lived according to the convictions we have, not the convictions that other people have. Instead of insisting that others follow our convictions on debatable matters, we should care more about not causing a fellow believer to sin. If we are so adamant about exercising our rights at the expense of others, it reveals that our priorities are misguided because in God's kingdom we find our joy in doing what pleases the Lord, not what pleases our flesh. This was particularly relevant in the churches where there were both Jews and Gentiles. Today we have a plurality of cultures and so we must strive to live according to God's kingdom culture and not our ethnic culture.
