No one is able to stand in judgment over others in the sense of being spiritually superior because every single person has broken God's laws in one way or another. This struck at the pride of Jews who looked down on others because they felt morally superior because they had God's laws. They felt they had special excemptions because they had the religious rite of circumcision.
