48 Hour Prayer Coverage for Wes Chin

Dear Cornerstone Family,
Today we have an urgent prayer request. Wes Chin will be undergoing a heart transplant surgery tonight (5/18). The procedure has been rescheduled for 10/11p and it can be a 6-12 hour process. In 2016, Wes suffered his initial heart attack and the Lord graciously and miraculously pulled him through that episode. This past January, he suffered another heart attack and it was recently determined that he should be put on the heart transplant list. Just the fact that a matching donor's heart has been identified after being on the donor wait list for just over a month is another expression of God's grace.
His family's prayer requests are:

- Pray for the heart donor and his family. We don't know much except it's a local donor who is currently on life support. There are no words for this profound act of sacrifice, a choice made (who knows how long ago), yet the impact of that decision is so significant and staggering that it is literally saving Wes's life. May God provide comfort and solace to his family as the donor's precious life comes to an end.
- Pray for a smooth transplant surgery at 10:00 PM, May 18th. May everyone operating on Wes be of clear mind, with steady and precise hands. Typical heart transplants take 6-12 hours. Pray there would be no complications or problems.
- Pray that Wes would have a supernatural peace from God. May every ounce of worry and fear be replaced by that peace.
- Pray for Tammy, Caleb, Calli, and Chyler. They have been through a lot with Wes. May they experience God in mighty ways and depend on Him to get them through this.
- Pray for my (Wes & Jacy's) mom. She is still grieving the loss of my dad and is in so much fear and pain watching Wes go through this. Help her to know God is present in her suffering and His strength made perfect in her weakness.
- Pray that Wes's body will not reject the new heart. The first 6 months post-surgery will be a critical time of healing, monitoring and testing. Please pray he will get through that time without major issues.
- May Wes's life once again be an example of God's power, an expression of God with us, and a call for all people to know Jesus and his purpose for our lives today and for eternity.
