One scheme of the enemy is to make us ineffective in helping people come to a saving relationship with Christ. It is Satan’s goal to keep the gospel away from people and believers who are not prepared and ready to share the gospel are actually losing this battle. The gospel is referred to as the gospel of peace. This could indicate that it brings peace with God, since we are enemies of God before coming to Christ. Or it could mean that in the midst of a spiritual battle, the manner in which we share the gospel should not be contentious or argumentative, but rather, peaceful.
