Wielding the Word and Prayer

The word of God is referred to as a sword that the Holy Spirit wields in our spiritual battle. The belt of truth and the sword of the Spirit are related but different. Truth has to do with things that are real. Truth also deals with issues of morality. Using the word of God as a weapon means using specific passages to address specific situations. God’s word brings light into darkness, clarity into confusion, wisdom into foolishness.
