The fact that our salvation is referred to as a helmet indicates that it is the primary piece of our armor that protects us from Satan’s chief weapon – sin, which leads to eternal separation from God. But salvation isn’t a commodity, it’s an eternal relationship with God. Because we have this eternal relationship, we can live confidently and securely because we are part of God’s eternal family.
