Jacob Wrestles with God: Tenacious Faith

Before meeting his brother Esau, the Lord appears to Jacob and Jacob wrestles with him throughout the night. Jacob is a desperate man and knows that he needs God’s blessing on is life, especially since he had no idea how his brother Esau would receive him after Jacob stole his blessing. Jacob would not let go until he received the blessing from the Lord. While Jacob may be seen as a schemer, what’s commendable about him is that he was tenacious and valued the things that were valuable, unlike his brother who gave away his birthright for a single meal.
