David & Bathsheba: Consequence of Compromise

David’s indiscretion is a warning to all of us who possess a measure of power and authority. Power and authority without character or accountability is a dangerous recipe. Failing to repent leads to deeper and deeper deception and sin. David never considered how his sin would impact Bathsheba, Uriah, or the nation. Sin has a way of impacting ourselves and others beyond what we can imagine.
