It's appropriate that our salvation is likened to a soldiers helmet, arguable the most import piece of the armor because it protects our heads. It's only through our salvation that we have access to the spiritual armor designed to protect us. Our salvation assures us that even death itself cannot triumph over us because our earthly death simply leads to everlasting life. Salvation emboldens us to live courageously to engage the enemy for the souls of a lost world. Salvation strengthens us to face every trial and challenge knowing that in light of eternity it is but a momentary blip in our lives.
